Sipi River Lodge is located in Sipi Falls in the foothills of Mt Elgon (4321m) in Eastern Uganda. The Lodge is set amongst 17 acres of private grounds, which include the 80m Kapsururu Falls (the second of the three Sipi waterfalls), several caves and peaceful gardens to explore. The Lodge is run with only a small number of guests at any one time making it a very 'home away from home' experience and we pride ourselves on the personal service we offer our guests.
Sipi River Lodge offers a variety of accommodation and activities, all located within walking distance of the Lodge, including coffee tours, hiking, rock climbing, abseiling and Trout fishing. We also organise Mt. Elgon expeditions. Find out more information on our activities pages.

Updates for 2011
2010 has been a great year for us here in Sipi - we've seen the good word of our little lodge spread around the world and our visitor numbers have steadily been increasing throughout the year. As a result we are happy to announce the opening of three new accommodation units in 2011. We are hoping to have two new luxury banda's open in Spring 2011, and "The Seven Dwarf's House" - a nice little annex to Chepkui Cottage open immediately in the new year. Other new developments at Sipi are that we've realised the amazing Mountain Biking trails we have right on our doorstep. There's something for everyone, from 20min family rides to long downhill single-track routes, with some challenging climbs back up - or if you like a boda-boda pick up to save the legs!! Currently we do not have Mountain Bikes for hire, however if you are a keen biker with your own bike then bring it along and we'll be happy to show you the routes!!
2011 Price update. We've kept our prices fixed for the last two years and feel we offer very competitive rates within the Ugandan market. With prices in general climbing up over this time we've finally had to increase our rates for 2011. Roughly we have increased our accommodation rates by 10%. For the updated rates please check the accommodation page - or email us for a breakdown. We still give East African Residents 10% discount and we will be bringing back our mid-week half price special which was a great hit in 2009, for low season periods during 2011. Merchandise. We introduced a new logo earlier this year which we now use on our T-shirts. T-shirts are available at the lodge, or if you'd like one but can't wait to visit Sipi, drop us a line and we can send them through to you in Jinja or Kampala. T-shirts cost $15 usd, and we have a selection of men's and women's T's in various sizes. All T-shirts are coffee brown.
