Accommodation (Updated for 2011)
Sipi River Lodge offers a variety of accommodation styles. All accommodations are located close to the main house. Within the main house guests will find an intimate dining room with a log fire, stylish bar, comfortable reading lounge and airy veranda. Internet access is also available for guests with laptop computers at 10,000 UGX per hour.
We try to grow all our own vegetables and some fruits in our garden and this is reflected throughout the season within the menu. Other items such as cheeses and meats we source locally. All breads and cakes are made by our staff and are served fresh. Being located in one of the world's finest coffee growing areas we source all our coffee from our own garden and prepare it in our kitchen. A little secret up here in Sipi is that in our bar you will find a selection of around 14 different whisky's - and we try and keep a stock of eight or more of our favorite single malts - It's a great choice to have on a cold evening after a full day of hiking, and if you can't choose you may just have to try them all!
All prices include large continental breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and cakes and 4-course evening meal.
New Luxury Banda's coming soon...
We have been busy building two new self contained bandas over the last few months and they are going to look great. We're not rushing the project, but trying to put plenty of time into the design and building process. We hope to have them finished by Spring. They feature a shower with a view of the falls, in a large clean bathroom, a main room with a large double bed and sofa's and easy chairs, and to the side a slightly separated room with a smaller double bed and a pull out single bed. They offer the best private views of the waterfall from any of our accommodation. Each unit will be themed separately yet both are essentially the same design. The new Banda's will sleep up to five guests and will be perfect for couples, families or friends.
